Overview of the Cooking Update

Things are heating up in Grow a Garden with the launch of the Cooking Update in version 1.17.0! This flavorful event runs from August 2 to August 9, 2025, and was chosen by the community through the weekly update poll. One of the most exciting additions? Trading has officially arrived — a highly requested feature is finally in the game!

Cooking Event Highlights

This limited-time event introduces the long-awaited Trading system. Shoutout to azye, who sneakily teased this in his tips channel!

Chris P. has shown up — and he’s hungry! Toss plants into the Cooking Pot and whip up meals to satisfy his ever-changing cravings. The more impressive the dish, the better the rewards. Using rarer ingredients increases your chances of higher-tier rewards. Keep Chris P. happy to unlock even more exclusive goodies.

Trading is now live! Buy Trading Tickets to safely exchange fruits, pets, and sheckles with other players.

The Cooking Pot allows players to combine crops into dishes. Better recipes lead to better rewards from Chris P. the Pig. Use your cooking skills to earn top-tier loot!
